Project Overview
Well & Durst engaged our team to install a large-format LED video wall in a multipurpose space in New York. Published project material describes the wall as approximately 60 feet wide; the client's own statement refers to a 59-foot LED wall. The final dimension will be confirmed against the project record before launch.
Client Challenge
A single conventional display cannot serve a room used for town halls and seminars where the audience spans the full width of the space. The client needed one continuous canvas, bright enough for a lit room, that could show a single full-width image or several sources side by side, and that would run reliably for company-wide events without an operator crew.
Scope of Work
- Direct-view LED video wall, approximately 60 feet wide (VERIFY exact width and pixel pitch)
- Wall structure, mounting and cable management
- Video processing for full-canvas and multi-window layouts
- Integration with the room's presentation sources
AV and Technology Solution
The wall was built as a single direct-view LED surface across the room's long wall, sized so seated viewers across the room have an unobstructed, continuous image. A video processor drives the canvas so the client can run one panoramic image, a presenter feed alongside slides, or motion content for events. Because the wall is a permanent installation on the room's AV system, staff start a town hall from the room's own sources rather than bringing in temporary equipment.
Results
The room now hosts town halls and seminars on a permanent large-format system. The client's operations manager described the effect on how they run those events (statement below).
“That massive 59-foot LED wall [D.I.S.T.] put in has transformed how we run town halls and seminars.”
— Operations Manager, Well & Durst. Client statement published by D.I.S.T.
