Boardroom AV Installation in New York
Executive boardrooms are client-facing rooms where the technology must be invisible until it is needed and flawless when it is. We design and install boardroom AV systems for New York firms with concealed displays, production-quality video conferencing, high-end audio and one-touch control.

A boardroom is an architectural project with technology inside it.
Designing AV for an Executive Boardroom
Boardrooms are decided by architects, executives and clients, not by IT alone. The technology has to fit millwork, finishes and sightlines chosen for other reasons. That means designing early — display recesses, camera positions, microphone locations and speaker placement have to be in the construction drawings, with conduit and backing in the walls before they are closed.
Displays are frequently concealed: motorized panels behind millwork, or direct-view LED as a flush architectural surface. Cameras are placed at eye level in custom housings rather than on top of a display. Microphones go into the ceiling so the table stays clear. Loudspeakers are architectural — in-ceiling or in-wall — and tuned so speech is intelligible without being loud.
Remote board members should see and hear the room as if they were in it.
Boardroom Video Conferencing
Large boardroom tables defeat a single camera. We use two or more cameras with speaker tracking so the remote view cuts to whoever is speaking at a natural framing, with a wide shot for context. Ceiling microphone arrays cover every seat, and DSP keeps the audio clean through echo cancellation and automatic mixing. The room runs natively on Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Webex with a touch controller at the chair's position, and content sharing is available wirelessly or from a table connection.
Dual or triple displays present people and content simultaneously; in LED boardrooms the canvas is divided as needed.
Client-facing rooms for law, finance and professional services.
Boardrooms for New York Firms
Manhattan law firms, financial services firms, private equity and professional services organizations use boardrooms as their primary client-facing space. Confidentiality requirements — sound isolation, secure conferencing, no always-on microphones — are designed into the room. Trophy buildings with landmark or landlord restrictions require coordination on penetrations and mounting. Our office at 24 Mercer Street keeps us close to the Midtown, Financial District and Hudson Yards buildings where most of this work happens.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is a boardroom different from a conference room?
Beyond size, a boardroom is client-facing and executive-facing: technology is concealed, operation is scene-based rather than menu-driven, audio and camera quality are production grade, and the room is coordinated with architects and millwork rather than installed after the fact.
Can the technology be hidden?
Yes. Motorized displays behind millwork, direct-view LED as an architectural surface, in-ceiling microphones and speakers, recessed cameras and a single touch panel keep the visible technology to a minimum.
Do you work with our architect and contractor?
Yes. Boardroom AV should be in the construction documents. We coordinate backing, conduit, power, ceiling and millwork details with the design team and the general contractor.
What platform does a boardroom run?
Whichever your organization uses: Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Webex natively, with the ability to join other platforms for external parties.
