Project Overview

3 Times Square is a commercial office tower at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 42nd Street. Our team delivered conference room technology and supporting infrastructure inside the building as part of a broader technology program that also covered IT consulting, network infrastructure, and security and access control.

Client Challenge

Office tenants in a Class A Midtown building expect meeting rooms that work the same way every time: a camera that keeps the room framed, microphones that pick up every seat, and a display system that starts a call without an IT ticket. The AV scope had to fit alongside network, security and access-control work under one coordinated schedule.

Scope of Work

  • Conference room audiovisual integration
  • AI-powered camera systems for meeting rooms
  • Sony projectors with professional projection screens
  • High-fidelity loudspeakers
  • Enterprise-grade network infrastructure
  • IT consulting, security and access control (separate scope, coordinated with AV)

AV and Technology Solution

Conference rooms were built around intelligent cameras that track and frame participants automatically, paired with microphone coverage designed for the room dimensions rather than a single tabletop puck. Projection was used where display sizes needed to exceed what a flat panel could deliver at the viewing distance, with speakers specified for speech clarity in the room. The rooms sit on enterprise network infrastructure installed under the same program, so the AV, IT and security systems share a properly segmented, documented backbone.

Results

Meeting rooms that run on the building's enterprise network and behave consistently for occupants. A related client statement from the building's IT management is shown below.

“Our conference room setup is such a game changer thanks to [D.I.S.T.]. The AI camera and mic make meetings feel effortless.”

— IT Manager, 3TS, New York. Client statement published by D.I.S.T.
