Commissioning

Verifying an installed AV system performs as designed before handover.

Commissioning is the structured process of testing, adjusting and documenting an installed AV system to verify it performs as designed — every source, display, camera, microphone, control function and failure mode — before it is handed over to the client.

Commissioning includes DSP tuning, gain structure, camera presets, control-system testing, conferencing test calls, network verification and as-built documentation. It is distinct from installation: a system can be fully installed and still not commissioned.
